Save the date for Thailand’s events and festivals 2024

The Tourism Authority of Thailand is thrilled to announce exciting events and trade fairs scheduled to take place in 2024! TAT Stockholm will be a part of the following events and trade fairs to showcase the vibrant of Thailand’s diverse destinations, local experiences, and cultural offerings, with the aim of attracting travellers from both Nordic and Baltic countries to visit Thailand with Meaningful experiences.

Beyond these tourism events, Thailand bursts with a rich calendar of festivals, celebrations, and sport events throughout the year. As you plan your itinerary, it’s worth considering these captivating events to immerse yourself in the heart of Thai culture and traditions. Some events, such as Songkran (Thai New Year), are celebrated nationwide and have fixed dates, and together with Buddhist holidays.  To help you plan your 2024 Thailand adventure, here’s a sneak peek at some of the highlights:

  • Poy Sang Long Festival: held at various locations around north Thailand, particularly in Mae Hong Son (late March/early April).
  • Chakri Memorial Day (public holiday): 6 April
  • Songkran (Water Festival) /Thai New Year (public holiday): 13-15 April.  Celebrations takes place across Thailand with highlight event in Bangkok and Chiang Mai
