Best time to visit

Before choosing the best golf courses in Chiang Mai, you should be aware when is the best time to visit.The dry season falls between November to April and between November and February is the coolest weather and thus the best time to visit. If you plan to visit during December and January and play golf early in the morning or in the evening, you may want to bring some extra clothing with you since the temperatures can be much cooler than you would expect. The wet season is between May and October, with the most rainfall during August and September.

Chiang Mai Highland Golf and Spa Resort

Just 30 minutes from the city, the drive to Highlands from Chiang Mai leads through the stunning landscape of rice fields and plantations into the mountains. The course is located in the scenic hills and is breathtaking in every direction.

Having started as an 18-hole golf course, an additional 9 holes were added in 2015. Bunkers are the key hazard and feature over 130 times on fairways and close to the greens. Water also plays a significant part on the fairways.  Many of the greens are undulating and slope from front to back, so you must plan your approach shots carefully, to avoid difficult putting.

North Hill Golf Chiang Mai

North Hill Golf Club, an 18 hole golf course is only 15 minutes from Chiang Mai International Airport. The course features some quite tricky and fast greens and plenty of water hazards. These aspects combine to provide some challenging play, but not too difficult for beginners to enjoy. A bonus is the superb golfing greens which are lit at night.
